Experience:
Diploma in Medical Technology (Radiology & Imaging) from a recognized institution affiliated with the Bangladesh State Medical Faculty.
Candidates having RCO Registration will be given preference.
1. Perform X-ray examinations as per physicians’ requests and departmental protocols while ensuring accurate and high-quality diagnostic images.
2. Prepare patients for X-ray procedures by verifying patient identity, examination requirements, clinical history, and relevant safety precautions.
3. Operate X-ray and related imaging equipment safely and efficiently, following the manufacturer’s guidelines and hospital protocols.
4. Ensure proper patient positioning, exposure selection, and imaging techniques to obtain optimal diagnostic-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.
5. Strictly follow radiation safety principles, including the use of appropriate shielding and adherence to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
6. Maintain proper infection prevention and control practices before, during, and after imaging procedures.
7. Provide appropriate care, assistance, and communication to patients, particularly elderly, pediatric, emergency, critically ill, and physically challenged patients.
8. Perform portable X-ray examinations in ICU, Emergency, OT, wards, and other designated clinical areas when required.
9. Verify image quality before releasing examinations and repeat images only when clinically necessary and in accordance with radiation safety standards.
10. Upload and correctly identify patient images and examination details in the HIS/RIS/PACS or other designated hospital information systems.
11. Maintain accurate records of examinations, patient information, equipment usage, contrast/special procedure requirements, and other relevant departmental documentation.
12. Conduct routine checks of X-ray equipment and immediately report equipment malfunction, image-quality issues, or safety hazards to the concerned authority/biomedical engineering team.
13. Ensure proper handling and availability of radiographic accessories, protective equipment, consumables, and other departmental supplies.
14. Coordinate effectively with Radiologists, Radiology Nurses, Physicians, Emergency, ICU, OT, and other concerned departments to ensure timely delivery of imaging services.
15. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with Apollo Imperial Hospitals’ policies, procedures, professional standards, and ethical requirements.
16. Assist in quality assurance and quality control activities of the Radiology & Imaging Department and participate in departmental audits and improvement initiatives.
17. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment and ensure compliance with hospital occupational health and safety requirements.
18. Provide prompt and courteous service to patients and attendants, contributing to a positive patient experience.
19. Participate in departmental training, continuing professional development, emergency preparedness, and competency assessment programs.
20. Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Radiologist, Head of Department, or Management in relation to the smooth and efficient operation of the Radiology & Imaging Department.
