Must have proven experience and capability to successfully manage and transform a non-break-even hospital into a profitable healthcare institution through effective operational, financial, and strategic management
Possess strong leadership capabilities and hands-on expertise in hospital administration
Exceptional communication skills coupled with prompt, sound decision-making abilities
Proven capacity to maintain strict confidentiality and integrity regarding sensitive matters
Proficient in problem-solving and adept at crisis management under challenging circumstances
Fundamental working knowledge of hospital finance, human resources, procurement, and quality management frameworks
High resilience to work under pressure and flexibility to remain available as operational demands require
Strong orientation toward target-driven execution, patient acquisition, and boosting sales growth
Accountability: Fully responsible for overall administrative efficiency, staff discipline, service coordination, data confidentiality, facility readiness, and the smooth daily operation of the hospital
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight: Manage daily hospital workflows from opening through closing to guarantee uninterrupted patient care and efficient service delivery across departments.
Human Resources & Workforce Management: Oversee duty scheduling, attendance tracking, leave protocols, and employee performance evaluations while maintaining workplace discipline and adequate staffing levels.
Administrative Security & Data Protection: Safeguard the strict confidentiality of patient records, staff files, financial audits, and strategic management decisions while maintaining organized official document controls.
Patient Care Quality: Monitor front-desk, admissions, discharge procedures, billing, pharmacy, laboratory, OT, maternity, and emergency departments to maintain high standards of patient satisfaction.
Doctor Management & Coordination: Build and maintain professional relationships with visiting and resident physicians, manage their schedules, coordinate chamber/consultation timings, and ensure smooth medical service delivery.
Patient Management & Counseling: Oversee patient relations, manage patient grievances with empathy, and provide effective counseling to patients and their families regarding hospital services, packages, and care pathways.
Business Development & Field Coordination: Coordinate closely with Business Development Officers (BDOs) and marketing representatives across various areas to drive patient referral networks, execute marketing campaigns, and expand regional outreach.
Financial & Procurement Integration: Collaborate closely with the finance team to monitor daily collections, operational expenditures, inventory levels, and material requisitions to eliminate wastage.
Facility & Engineering Maintenance: Ensure continuous utility availability—including power, water, internet servers, backup generators, and medical hardware—while resolving technical disruptions swiftly.
Regulatory Compliance & Safety: Uphold institutional policies, licensing mandates, infection prevention and control (IPC) standards, and medical waste management protocols.
Executive Reporting: Compile structured operational summaries for senior leadership, coordinate administrative meetings, and maintain professional liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
Crisis Management: Provide immediate administrative leadership and intervention during operational emergencies, utility failures, or staffing shortages to maintain uninterrupted healthcare services.
