Skills Required:
Additional Requirements:

- DVM degree from a recognized veterinary institution.
- Valid registration with the Bangladesh Veterinary Council (BVC).
- Experience in small-animal/pet practice will be preferred.
- Must be skilled in diagnosing and treating dogs and cats.
- Knowledge of vaccination, surgery, anesthesia, wound management, and emergency cases.
- Ability to properly monitor and manage inpatients.
- Ability to perform and interpret basic diagnostic tests.
- Good communication and client-handling skills.
- Must be responsible, compassionate, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and emergency shifts.
Responsibilities & Context:
- Examine, diagnose, and treat dogs, cats, and other companion animals.
- Conduct routine consultations, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Perform and assist with surgical procedures, including spay/neuter, soft-tissue surgeries, and emergency procedures.
- Provide proper anesthesia, pain management, and perioperative care.
- Prescribe and administer appropriate medications and treatment plans.
- Monitor hospitalized and post-operative patients and ensure proper follow-up care.
- Perform vaccinations, deworming, health check-ups, and preventive care.
- Interpret laboratory test results, imaging, and other diagnostic reports.
- Maintain accurate medical records, treatment plans, and patient histories.
- Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnosis, treatment, medication, nutrition, and preventive healthcare.
- Handle emergency cases and provide timely medical intervention.
- Ensure proper infection control, biosecurity, and clinical hygiene standards.
- Work collaboratively with veterinary assistants, groomers, and other clinic staff.
- Maintain professional standards and ensure the overall health and welfare of all patients.
