Job Context:
∎ Job Summary: The Programme Head will lead all the COVID-19 related responses and projects in BRAC. The job area will vary from developing crisis management strategies to mentoring managers for responding effectively during crisis. The incumbent will not only be responsible for coordinating with the government health counterparts but also with different programmes and enterprises within BRAC in case of emergency responses.
∎ Job Location: BRAC Head Office

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop need-based crisis management strategies that are aligned with organisational strategies.
∎ Lead the overall planning, budgeting, and implementation of emergency response projects from both the strategic and technical aspects.
∎ Provide quality leadership and mentoring to Programme Managers for rapid response during disaster.
∎ Guide the core programme in strategic decision making and technical assistance in developing and reshaping new models of healthcare.
∎ Lead grants application and specific grants management; provide leadership in financial management including tracking of project budget.
∎ Maintain close networking, partnership and coordination with different core and support programmes within the organisation.
∎ Establish, manage and improve active and regular working relationships with government, donors and partner agencies and other relevant stakeholders at national and global level by participating in organisational, national and regional initiatives and events.
∎ Establish a safeguarding culture across all level of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 10 years' of work experience in emergency crisis management with 2-3 years in a leadership role is required.
∎ Additional Requirements:
∎ Extensive knowledge on crisis management and donor regulations
∎ Knowledge on financial planning, budgeting and project management
∎ Strong interpersonal and communications skills
∎ Strong strategic thinking ability along with good analytical, problem solving and networking skills
∎ Past experience in leading change management initiatives
∎ Excellent speaking and writing skills in both Bengali and English
