Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily shift operations across wire drawing, annealing, stranding, extrusion/insulation, and spooling/packing lines.

• Monitor production schedules to ensure output targets and delivery deadlines are met.

• Assign tasks, train, and supervise machine operators, helpers, and line technicians.

• Monitor machine performance (wire drawing machines, annealers, extruders, spoolers) and coordinate with maintenance for preventive/corrective repairs to minimize downtime.

• Track raw material usage (copper rod, insulation compounds) and coordinate with stores/procurement to avoid production stoppages.

• Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, downtime logs, and wastage/scrap data.

• Enforce disciplinary standards, attendance, and adherence to company policies among floor staff.

Qualifications

• HSC/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in wire/cable manufacturing strongly preferred.

• Working knowledge of wire drawing, annealing, and insulation/extrusion processes.

• Familiarity with quality standards and testing methods relevant to copper wire (conductivity, tensile strength, elongation, etc.).

• Basic understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Proficiency in MS Office/production reporting software.
