Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Oversee and manage the entire production process, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and execution of production operations. Ensure production targets are met on time and within budget.
∎ Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production managers, supervisors, and other staff.
∎ Foster a positive and productive work environment that promotes collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
∎ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize production costs. Introduce and oversee lean manufacturing practices, automation, and other innovative solutions.
∎ Ensure that all products meet or exceed the company’s quality standards.
∎ Work closely with the quality control team to implement rigorous testing and inspection protocols, and resolve any issues related to product defects or deviations.
∎ Develop and manage production budgets, ensuring that operations are cost-effective.
∎ Monitor inventory levels and ensure efficient use of resources, including materials, labor, and equipment.
∎ Ensure adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations and best practices.
∎ Oversee the implementation of safety protocols and training programs to ensure a safe working environment.
∎ Work closely with other departments, including R&D, Engineering, Sales, and Supply Chain, to ensure that production timelines align with company goals and customer requirements.
∎ Provide regular reports to senior management on production performance, including key metrics such as efficiency, quality, and delivery timelines.
∎ Use data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
∎ Manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
∎ Negotiate contracts and terms to optimize costs.
∎ Lead efforts to integrate sustainable practices into the production process, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and contributing to the company’s sustainability goals.
