Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Data Engineering or a related field.

• At least 3-4 years of experience as a BI report developer and experience of working with Power BI.

• Good knowledge of Relational Database and SQL Language (Data Warehouse modeling).

• Good knowledge of Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL) (Microsoft SSIS / Azure Data factory or other cloud ETL tool).

• Good knowledge of Dimensional Modelling and development with BI tools.

• Writing stored procedures/function/triggers and optimizing database queries.

• Proficiency in Power Query and DAX.

• Experience with any of the various computer languages, programs, and scripting languages such as Python, MATLAB, R, Bash, etc.

• Experience working with databases like Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.

• Experience working with any Cloud Technologies (Azure / Google Cloud / AWS).

• Experience as an Oracle DBA is a plus.

Job Description:

New Asia Group seeks a talented BI Developer to join the development team! The ideal candidate possesses in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and the entire suite of Microsoft 365 Tools. You`ll be responsible for designing and building Power BI reports that extract insights from the organization`s various systems, including ERP, HRMS, and more. Your background should demonstrate experience in BI development and implementation, data architecture, and data warehousing.

Job Responsibilities:

• Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business Intelligence.

• Preparation of Data Models and Data Sets.

• Developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop.

• Work with multiple data sources including Oracle DB, SQL Server, Access, Excel, flat data files, proprietary databases, and web-based interfaces.

• Manage data for BI solutions and automate data collection and management.

• Builds SQL ETL routines to move, cleanse and prepare data for reporting.

• Expert in using advanced-level calculations on the data set.

• Should be able to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards.

• Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using SQL, PL/SQL.

• Analytical thinking for translating data into informative business reports and visuals.

• Capable of implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.

• Analyze existing database and SQL queries for performance improvements.
