- Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience on Distributed Control System (DCS) in PVC/PET resin production plant.
Responsibilities & Context:
- Ensure plant (PVC/VCM/PET) operations run smoothly by adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Operating Conditions (SOCs).
- Conduct regular checks of process parameters according to the predetermined schedule, and oversee the consumption of chemicals and utilities.
- Keep a close eye on trends in critical parameters to detect any potential abnormalities early on, promptly informing the shift supervisor to initiate corrective measures.
- Manage system shutdowns and startups efficiently by operating control panels and communicating effectively with field personnel.
- Implement instructions provided by the shift supervisor to optimize plant operations.
- Monitor control panels for significant changes in operating parameters or alarms, promptly taking corrective action when deviations occur.
- Record scheduled operating parameter readings and promptly report any deviations.
- Document key parameter changes, events, actions taken, and necessary follow-up in the logbook.
