  • Age 28 to 32 years
  • Must have experience in Quantity Surveying in real estate, construction, or building projects.

  • Experience in residential/commercial high-rise projects will be preferred.

  • Good knowledge of BOQ preparation, estimation, and rate analysis.

  • Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.

  • Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.

  • Knowledge of project costing and billing procedures.

  • Good analytical, communication, and coordination skills.



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context

Doreen Development Ltd. is seeking a competent and experienced Quantity Surveyor for its Construction Department. The candidate will be responsible for quantity estimation, BOQ preparation, cost control, contractor billing, and commercial management activities to support successful project execution.

Job Responsibilities

  • Calculate quantities, labor, timeframes, and costs for required materials.

  • Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and assist in evaluating bids from contractors and subcontractors.

  • Analyze proposed projects to ensure affordability and financial viability.

  • Continuously track ongoing expenses and adjust budget projections in response to design changes.

  • Assess completed on-site work and process periodic payment applications and final accounts for subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Manage design document variations and contractual claims (e.g., Extension of Time and cost).

  • Identify cost-saving measures and negotiate contracts to mitigate financial and other risks (Fund, Legal, etc).

  • Conduct regular on-site measurements of executed civil works to verify progress for interim payment applications.

  • Monitor and reconcile bulk construction materials (e.g., ready-mix concrete, rebar, asphalt) against budgeted allocations to prevent waste.

  • Identify, quantify, and cost variations resulting from site conditions, design changes, or unforeseen ground risks.

  • Certify subcontractor monthly progress claims, manage retention monies, and settle final accounts.
