Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and results-driven Mechanical Manager to lead the Mechanical Engineering and Maintenance Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment reliability, minimizing machine downtime, optimizing maintenance costs, and maintaining uninterrupted production through effective planning, execution, and continuous improvement of all mechanical systems and utilities. The Mechanical Manager will oversee preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities while leading a team of engineers, supervisors, technicians, and maintenance personnel.
Job Responsibilities & Duties:
Plan, organize, and supervise all maintenance activities of the spinning mill to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production operations.
Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules for all spinning machinery, utilities, and support equipment.
Ensure maximum machine uptime by minimizing breakdowns, downtime, and production losses through effective maintenance planning and execution.
Monitor and maintain all spinning machinery including Blow Room, Carding, Drawing, Comber, Speed Frame, Ring Frame, Auto Coner, and related auxiliary equipment.
Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, Store, Utility, and Procurement departments to ensure timely maintenance support and availability of spare parts.
Analyze machine performance, breakdown reports, maintenance records, and utility consumption to identify improvement opportunities.
Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation for mechanical, electrical, and utility-related issues.
Ensure proper maintenance of boilers, compressors, generators, HVAC systems, electrical panels, and other plant utilities as applicable.
Manage maintenance manpower, assign duties, and provide technical guidance, training, and supervision to engineers, technicians, and fitters.
Maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts, tools, lubricants, and consumables to support uninterrupted maintenance operations.
Prepare and control maintenance budgets, repair costs, and spare parts consumption to ensure cost-effective operations.
Implement safety procedures, statutory compliance, and good engineering practices in all maintenance activities.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, machine history cards, and downtime reports for management review.
Support installation, commissioning, and trial runs of new machinery, equipment upgrades, and modernization projects.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure smooth operations of plant and consistent quality performance of all Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, machine history cards, and downtime reports for management review.
