Job Responsibilities:
The Technology Manager will lead the technical operations, process engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives for Mild Steel (MS) and Galvanized Iron (GI) pipe manufacturing. The ideal candidate will optimize production parameters, oversee the Hot-Dip Galvanizing/ERW (Electric Resistance Welding) processes, and ensure product quality standards align with global specifications.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
A. Process Optimization & Technology Integration:
Oversee and optimize Electric Resistance Welding (ERW) mills, slitting lines, and Hot-Dip Galvanizing technology.
Develop and execute technical strategies to maximize operational efficiency, minimize material wastage, and reduce process loss.
Evaluate, recommend and integrate new manufacturing technologies to improve yield and scale operations.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and OMS (Output per Man Shift).
B. Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Ensure MS and GI pipes meet strict international quality and dimensional standards (e.g., coating thickness, tensile strength, and hydro-testing).
Troubleshoot mechanical or technical bottlenecks in the production lines.
Oversee the continuous improvement of galvanizing bath chemistry, temperature control, and zinc coating uniformity.
Strictly enforce safety regulations, environmental controls, and hazard management protocols on the manufacturing floor.
C. Equipment & Maintenance Management:
Lead the implementation of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance (TPM) programs for high-value machinery and tooling.
Manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) proposals for upgrading plant machinery and infrastructure.
Collaborate with maintenance and mechanical supervisors to overhaul equipment and execute laser alignments.
D. Team Leadership & Talent Development
Lead and mentor cross-functional technical, production, and engineering teams on the factory floor.
Provide training programs for staff on standard operating procedures (SOPs), new technology adoption, and safety.
