Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Keeping an inventory of office supplies, stationeries, storage, filing support and ordering new materials as needed.
∎ Maintain files and assist all staffs in accessing files, utensil and other accessories in office room.
∎ Ensuring the office runs smoothly with necessary use facilities.
∎ Scheduling meetings, meeting room arrangement and sending meeting invites to attendees.
∎ Overseeing clerical tasks, such as sorting and sending couriers, utility bills, facilities to get drinking water, tea, etc.
∎ Open and closing of office rooms, ensure that office furniture and room are ready to seat and work for all staff in office.
∎ Welcoming visitors, volunteers and attending external people if want to meet someone in office.
∎ Support daily administrative operations of this office.
∎ Oversee cleaning and security concern in office premises.
∎ Serving refreshment services to field staff and guest.
∎ Assist in monitoring office activities, garage and store house facilities in office.
∎ Open and closing office room to support daily operation from the office;
∎ Inventories office supplies, stationeries and store room management.
∎ Support daily administrative services.
∎ A minimum of SSC pass with work experiences in similar position·
∎ At least 2 years’ experience on daily administrative support with development organization and private sector companies.·
∎ Excellent organization and time management skill.·
∎ Working knowledge with office equipment.·
∎ Experiences in maintaining office inventories of materials and updating stock register.·
∎ Capable of working geographically challenged areas·
∎ Capable  of working under pressure for meeting deliverables·
∎ Good interpersonal and communication skill·
∎ Must have cross-cultural sensitivity, problem solving and negotiation skills.·
∎ Knowledge on back-office computer system having minimum computer literacy is an added advantage.
∎ Job Context:
∎ The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has selected a CARE Bangladesh led consortium to implement the project titled ‘Nature Based Adaptation towards Prosperous and Adept Lives & Livelihoods in Bangladesh (NABAPALLAB/ নবপল্লব)’ in two Ecologically Critical Areas (ECA) – Sundarbans and Hakaluki Haor. The other consortium members are CNRS, CordAid, C3ER-BRAC University, Dushtha Shasthya Kendra (DSK), Friendship, Humanity & Inclusion (HI), iDE, and Practical Action.  It is a key component of the Bangladesh-UK Accord on Climate Change and will deliver the adaptation outcome of the FCDO’s flagship Bangladesh Climate and Environment Programme (BCEP). The programme will make a significant contribution in Bangladesh to progress against GoB’s policies and priorities e.g., National Adaptation Plan (NAP), Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC), commitments to biodiversity conservation, ongoing 8th Five Year Plan, etc. in collaboration with different relevant ministries of the Government.
∎ FCDO’s NABAPALLAB aims to engage biodiversity and natural resource-dependent communities to strengthen the climate resilience of the ECAs, conserve biodiversity, and at the same time, diversify and improve people's livelihood through innovative nature-based (NBS) and locally led adaptation solutions in the districts of Bagerhat, Satkhira and Khulna in the Sundarbans ECA, and Maulvibazar and Sylhet in Hakaluki Haor.
