∎ Tdh is working in Bangladesh since 1974, with operations in the north of the country (Kurigram district), in the Dhaka district and in Cox Bazaar district. Tdh is implementing programs on Health, WASH, Access to Justice (social cohesion and conflict resolution), Migration and Child protection, both in development and emergency context.
∎ Tdh Child Protection (CP) program consists of three main components: Psychosocial Support (PSS) to children, adolescents and caregivers; Case Management, including Alternative Care and Caring for Child Survivors, and Support to Community-based CP mechanisms. To protect and promote the psychosocial well-being of adolescent boys and girls and young men and women through community-based approaches implemented at individual, family and community levels. The MHPSS component is based on Tdh innovative YouCreate methodology, and the Problem Management+ (PM+) intervention developed by WHO and family support and strengthening intervention. These intervention strategies are applicable for individual and group adolescents and adults who are having different psychosocial and adjustment issues due to migration.
∎ The project is to protect and promote the psychosocial wellbeing of adolescent boys and girls and young men and women through community-based approaches implemented at individual, family and community levels between host and refugee community population
∎ Purpose of the Post:
∎ The M&E Officer will contribute to the implementation of Tdh`s Bangladesh M&E framework, with a particular focus on tracking GIZ project progress towards planned targets, supporting corrective action where needed and assist in collecting and documenting lessons learned.
∎ The M&E Officer ensures that M&E approaches, methods, tools are relevant and consistent across Tdh teams and partner organizations. He/she helps plan and implement activities requiring specific M&E expertise.
∎ He/She will be responsible for implementing M&E activities, assisting the project staff in preparing periodic reports on project progress and will be responsible for the collection and analysis of different data in relation to the project activities. The M&E Officer works in close collaboration with the GIZ project teams and will report to the Field Coordinator (hierarchically) and Deputy MEAL Coordinator (Functionally)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Specific:
∎ Collaborate with program staff to ensure timely execution of M&E activities
∎ Collaboration with existing M&E Officer to build a strong M&E system for the project purpose at the base.
∎ Oversee and if needed collect quantitative and quantitative data and support in the recruitment and the training of field enumerators
∎ Analyze data collected from the field and provide recommendations as required for the project planning, performance management and reporting
∎ Participate in writing (monthly, quarterly and annual) reports
∎ Harness, adapt and roll out tools for collecting and analyzing data with an aim of improving the project
∎ Participate in developing an M&E plan, M&E work plan and indicator tracking matrix, in line with the Tdh's standards and practice
∎ Undertake field-monitoring visits to assess and report progress of the project implementation using standard monitoring and evaluation tools and methodologies
∎ Monitor main project activities and ensure verification process
∎ Support project staff in conducting field assessments and surveys
∎ Lead the cross-checking of means of verification to ensure evidence-based programming
∎ Support in the reception of feedback from the process and intervene in the response to complaint and feedback from beneficiaries
∎ Ensures ethical principles related to M&E are respected, especially those concerning gender equality, fairness and "do no harm"
∎ Protect confidential data, applies the principles of informed consent and protects children during the collection, processing, analysis and use of M&E data
∎ Any other duties assigned by the supervisor
∎ Learning/training:
∎ Build the capacity of project staffs and other stakeholders( if working in the partnership approach on relevant M&E topics including data dissemination and use for program improvement
∎ Support fellow team members in capturing and documenting best practices and success stories for learning, reference and dissemination• Helps capitalize on knowledge in M&E-related issues.
∎ Values:

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum of 2 years experience in the design and implementation of M&E activities in projects implemented by National / International NGOs, UN bodies, and/or Government
∎ Excellent oral and written communication skills (in constructive negotiations) in all areas (internal and external), active listening skills - English and Bangla
∎ Understanding the Rohingya and Chitagonian dialect is privilege
∎ Good experience in designing tools for data collection, analysis and production of reports
∎ Excellent skills of IT tools: Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc and good knowledge of KoBo, SPSS, Stata, QGIS, toolbox, etc. and good experience in using databases
∎ Ability to work independently, as well as to provide support and advice
∎ Ability to create a cooperative and collaborative environment
∎ Command on supporting and advising roles and competencies
∎ Discipline, precision, transparency and intellectual honesty
∎ Excellent oral and written communication skill (in constructive negotiations) in all areas (internal and external), active listening skill
∎ Result oriented, focus and problem-solving abilities
∎ Ability to learn from negative experiences, capitalizing on errors and seizing opportunities
