Responsibilities & Context:

RDRS Bangladesh anticipates implementing a comprehensive program, “Climate Resilience And Nurturing Growth for Poverty Upliftment (CRANGPU)” This announcement is for an anticipatory position and will be contingent upon the funding contract with the donor.

The Monitoring and Documentation Officer (M&DO) is responsible for implementing and maintaining effective monitoring, evaluation, and documentation systems of the project. The position ensures timely and accurate data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting in Field Coordinator, District Officers, Accounts Officer, and Program & Technical Teams. The position supports tracking of progress against the logical framework and theory of change, ensures data quality, and facilitates evidence-based reporting and learning. In addition, the role involves documenting success stories, lessons learned, and best practices to promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning. The incumbent will also build capacity for staff and local health officials on M&E/MIS tools, ensure data-driven decision-making, and contribute to overall program accountability and performance tracking within the project working areas.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Monitoring & Data Management

  • Develop and maintain monitoring tools, formats, and databases

  • Track project progress against indicators and targets

  • Ensure timely and accurate data collection from field teams

  • Verify and validate field-level data for quality assurance

  • Maintain MIS/database and ensure regular updates.

  • Support the Project Coordinator in preparing the monthly and quarterly project reports.

B. Capacity Building & Coordination

  • Support the MEL team in the process of MEL capacity-building activities for staff.

  • Coordinate and communicate with the Project Coordinator to ensure project requirements.

  • Coordinate with the project team, including organization representatives like HR/Admin/Procurement/MEL and other relevant departments.

  • Provide substantial and creative input for the creation of project reports and presentations.

  • Train and orient field staff on data collection tools and reporting formats

  • Provide technical support on monitoring and documentation

  • Promote use of standard tools and ensure consistency

  • Acquire knowledge on gender and organizational gender policy and act accordingly.

C.  Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports

  • Support donor reporting as per bftW requirements

  • Compile field reports and data from different components

  • Ensure timely submission of reports with quality analysis

 

D. Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Document success stories, case studies, and best practices

  • Capture lessons learned and project impacts

  • Maintain photo, video, and documentation archives

  • Support the preparation of newsletters, briefs, and communication materials.
