∎ Job Context: BLAST’s mission is to make the legal system accessible to the poor and the marginalized. ∎ OBJECTIVES: In view of the above vision and mission statement, BLAST`s specific objectives are:
∎ 1. To provide free legal aid and to undertake public interest litigation and advocacy activities to ensure that opportunities for securing justice are not denied to any person for any reason;
∎ 2. To administer a trust fund for establishing and maintaining legal aid and services units supported by the grants from the Trust;
∎ 3. To establish legal aid/assistance and human rights protection units in the bar associations and in different localities of the country, including rural areas;
∎ 4. To conduct special training program through which relevant skills and expertise can be imparted to lawyers, activists and others;
∎ 5. To coordinate the activities of the units with other organizations, including NGOs working in related fields;
∎ 6. To publish original research articles and reports about matters useful to lawyers;
∎ 7. To promote improved legal education, including awareness of responsibility for providing legal aid to disadvantaged persons, and to promote, establish and maintain national institutions for legal education;
∎ 8. To organize seminars, symposiums and extension lectures on various law subjects for advocates, teachers, law students, and to promote participation in international conferences, workshops, and training and educational program
∎ For achieving the objectives BLAST M&E cell provide intensive support to the projects to ensure the quality of the services. For that M&E cell conduct process monitoring through document review and assess the client satisfaction. M&E cell also take the responsibility for evaluating the short term impact of the projects. For updating the donor and the management about the project progress M&E cell produce periodic progress reports.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall Responsibilities: (60% Report writing, dealing with qualitative data and 40% field visit)
∎ This position will mostly focus on project report writing and M&E Field visits. It is expected that the monitoring and report writing coordinator will generate high-quality progress report in standard communicative English. The person will conduct monitoring field visits at least once a month and submit the field visit report to the relevant management in Bangla.
∎ Assist in qualitative parts: This position will mostly deal with the qualitative data of the projects
∎ Report writing: Generate progress report for the donors (monthly/ quarterly/ Half-yearly and annual reports). For generating the quality reports, a coordinator will closely work with all the projects coordinator and project leads.
∎ Following M&E work plan: Regular follow-up of the implementation work plan of M&E to ensure the project report submission as per the donor deadline.
∎ Follow up with the project coordinators and project lead for collecting the report content within the timeline
∎ Collect Case studies/ Success stories: Collect case studies or success stories from the project lead/coordinator to enrich the progress reports
∎ Project Implementation/ Process monitoring: As per the project design need to ensure intensive field site visit and observe project activities like courtyard meeting, training, Self Help Group discussion etc with specific observation tools. For that conduct field visits at least once a month. Submitting the field visit report.
∎ Assess the client satisfaction through KII
∎ Assisting the central M&E team where necessary
∎ The duties and responsibilities may change a bit based on project needs and special circumstances
∎ Working in a team with good team spirit
∎ Maintain good report with the project people and team
∎ Working days from Sunday to Thursday with 40 hours/ week.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
∎ All related organizational policies are applicable.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 6/7 years of experiences in monitoring and evaluating social development projects, concerning women’s social empowerment project and human rights may preferred
∎ Proven experiences in donor report writing, progress report writing using different donor prescribed formats/ narrative report writing
∎ Good written and oral communication skills in English and Bangla, including writing monthly reports and present coherent and convincing messages to different audiences.
∎ Excellent writing skill in English (IELTS score 6 is preferable)
∎ Proven experience in the application of monitoring methods, approaches and tools.
∎ Experience in working with PNGO activity monitoring skills will be preferred.

Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ Salary, Benefits and allowances: commensurate with experience and BLAST`s salary scale and policy, two festival bonuses equivalent to one month`s basic salary each payable after successful completion of 6 months probation
