Responsibilities & Context:
- Define, design, and implement a creative visual merchandising strategy for the outlets.
- Outlet development, product design, planning, and implementation.
- Create appealing and eye-catching visual displays that lead the customer through the entire outlet.
- Ensuring the strategy aligns with the outlet’s brand, products, and target market.
- Identify key messages and set a clear image of the result
- Come up with, revise, and present design ideas with assistant merchandisers.
- Liaising with other retail professionals, including buyers, marketing executives, and retail merchandisers, when necessary.
- Act in alignment with the organization’s culture, products, image, and target market.
- Monitor costs and work within the budget.
- Oversee the production and brief employees on arranging displays.
- Change displays to promote new product launches and reflect festive or seasonal themes.
- Communicate with vendors and find components.
- Keep costs under control and stay on budget.
- Research lifestyle and design trends that will inform the visual merchandising strategy.
- Develop and maintain relationships with handicraft suppliers, artisans, and manufacturers to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality products.
- Source and select new handicraft items based on market trends, customer preferences, and quality standards.
