Responsibilities & Context:

  • Prepare quantity take-off, measurement sheets, and material reconciliation reports for railway track renewal and rehabilitation works.

  • Verify contractor IPC bills, executed quantities, and measurement records in accordance with approved BOQ, drawings, specifications, and contract conditions.

  • Measure and evaluate railway track items including rails, sleepers, ballast, fastening systems, turnout materials, welding works, and associated civil/mechanical works.

  • Monitor project progress quantities and maintain accurate records of completed works for billing, reporting, and cost tracking purposes.

  • Support preparation, evaluation, and verification of variation orders (VO), additional work claims, and change orders.

  • Assist in project cost control, budget monitoring, and reconciliation of project materials and executed quantities.

  • Coordinate with site engineers, planning teams, QA/QC engineers, and commercial departments for work measurement and billing documentation.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quantity progress reports for management and client submission.

  • Review subcontractor bills, supplier invoices, and supporting measurement documents.

  • Ensure compliance with railway authority standards, contract requirements, and project commercial procedures.

  • Maintain proper documentation of quantity records, billing documents, approvals, measurement books, and commercial correspondences.

  • Participate in joint measurement activities with client, consultant, and contractor representatives.

  • Support preparation of project final accounts and handover documentation.

  • Assist procurement and project teams in material forecasting and quantity tracking.

  • Monitor wastage, material consumption, and quantity deviations during execution works.

  • Coordinate with project management team regarding project claims, payment status, and commercial issues.
