• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in steel fixing or construction is preferred.

• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in steel fixing, particularly in large-scale projects (e.g., high-rises, commercial complexes, or infrastructure).
• Skills:
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and structural drawings to install rebar as per design specifications.
• Expertise in cutting, bending, and tying rebar for reinforced concrete structures such as slabs, beams, columns, and foundations.
• Skilled in using tools like rebar cutters, benders, and tying machines.
• Knowledge of splicing, lapping, and anchoring techniques to ensure structural integrity.
• Certifications:
• OSHA/NEBOSH safety certification is advantageous.
• Certification in steel fixing or construction-related trades is preferred.
• Health and Safety:
• Familiarity with safety protocols for handling heavy materials and tools.
• Proper use of PPE such as gloves, helmets, and boots.
• Understanding of fall protection and safety when working at heights or in hazardous conditions.
• Physical Requirements:
• Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy rebar and work in physically demanding conditions.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Soft Skills:
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, following instructions from foremen or supervisors.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate installation of rebar according to designs and safety standards.
