Responsibilities & Context:
∎ To design and implement youth financing products that cater to the specific needs of young entrepreneurs, such as startup loans, skill development loans, and digital finance options.
∎ To develop criteria for assessing youth financing applications, ensuring that products are accessible, youth-friendly, and meet the organization’s financial sustainability goals.
∎ To manage the youth financing portfolio, monitoring program performance, client feedback, and impact on youth empowerment and economic growth.
∎ To develop and deliver workshops, training sessions, and financial literacy programs aimed at equipping young clients with essential business and financial skills.
∎ To establish and manage mentorship programs connecting young entrepreneurs with industry experts, providing guidance on business planning, financial management, and market strategies.
∎ To conduct regular assessments for identifying the skill gaps and financial needs of young clients, tailoring programs to address these insights and support sustainable development.
∎ To build and maintain relationships with organizations focusing on youth empowerment, including NGOs, government bodies, educational institutions, and private sector partners.
∎ To collaborate with local community groups, youth organizations, and other stakeholders to promote youth entrepreneurship and drive program adoption.
∎ To conduct market research for identifying trends, challenges, and opportunities in youth finance, using findings to inform new product development and program improvements.
∎ To drive innovation within youth financing by integrating digital tools, mobile solutions, and other technologies to enhance accessibility and program reach.
∎ To lead pilot projects to test and refine new youth finance products, incorporating feedback to improve program effectiveness and scalability.
∎ To prepare regular reports for senior management, partners, and stakeholders, summarizing program achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
∎ To work on data-driven insights for analysing informed decisions, adjusting strategies, and continuously enhancing the effectiveness of youth financing initiatives.
∎ To conduct risk assessments for youth finance projects, considering factors such as client creditworthiness, market feasibility, and project viability.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.

∎ Job Purpose
∎ The Manager of Youth Financing & Development is responsible for creating, implementing, and managing youth-focused financial products and programs that empower young entrepreneurs and support their journey to financial independence. This role is essential in providing young clients with access to financial services, skills development, and business mentorship, thereby enabling them to build sustainable livelihoods. The Manager will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and youth communities to promote financial inclusion, foster entrepreneurship, and drive youth development initiatives aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.
∎ Key Responsibilities
