Additional Requirements:
  • Age At least 28 years
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience managing people in an operational, vendor management or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (such as Word, Excel) and Google Workspace (Docs, Spreadsheets) for reporting and data management.

Site & Travel Requirements:

  • The role is based at the Tangail Sadar and Kazipur facilities and requires full-time on-site management.
  • Candidate will relocate to Tangail Sadar or Kazipur if necessary as work entails hands-on site management.
  • Willing to travel across Bangladesh as needed for vendor management, quality control, and relationship building.

Responsibilities & Context:

About Sahera Crafts: Sahera Crafts is a startup handcrafts company based in Tangail that is rapidly growing with ambitions to build a smart community for rural workers. We offer primarily handmade products from textile and natural fibers by local artisans, and collaborating with domestic and international firms. We are seeking a highly disciplined and experienced Manager to oversee all operations at our primary facilities in Tangail Sadar and Kazipur.

Location: Tangail Sadar or Kazipur, Bangladesh

Key Responsibilities:

Operational & Quality Management:

  • Supervises employees across all site functions, setting clear performance goals and conducting regular reviews.
  • Manages productivity of employees and vendors by establishing and enforcing the highest quality standards for all handcrafted products.
  • Onsite Management: Must have the ability to work with rural artisans and workers to ensure productivity and maintain a collaborative working environment.
  • Oversees site logistics, inventory, and supply chain to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.

Relationship & Performance Management:

  • Strong soft skills and relationship management to influence vendors and workers to get work completed efficiently and ethically.
  • Drives team performance and vendor collaboration to meet orders and exceed customer expectations for quality and timely delivery.

Workforce Planning & Recruitment:

  • Drives organizational growth by proactively identifying workforce gaps and future staffing needs.
  • Leads the entire talent acquisition process: assessing, interviewing, and hiring new recruits to build and expand the Sahera Crafts team.
  • Manages employee onboarding and training coordination.

Financial & Administrative Oversight:

  • Manages day-to-day financial administration, including payroll processing and accounts payable with vendors, ensuring accuracy and ethical handling of all transactions.
  • Maintains meticulous records and ensures strict adherence to all company financial policies.

Communication & Reporting:

  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills for managing both internal teams and external vendor relationships.
  • Ability to report directly to multiple stakeholders, including executives in Product Management, Operations, and the Partners, providing clear and concise operational updates and performance metrics.
  • Ensures proficient email communication is maintained across the organization.
