Responsibilities & Context:
We are hiring for the position of Manager - Production on behalf of a renowned Japanese Multinational Company operating in the manufacturing sector. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and optimizing factory operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely production delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and lead the production team - including operators, technicians, line leaders, supervisors & staff management.
Production planning and scheduling, resource allocation, quality control, safety compliance, continuous improvement initiatives and communication with other departments.
Monitor daily production activities and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines and manage unexpected delays.
Lead and motivate the production, PPC, QC & Engineering team to achieve performance goals.
Monitor production progress against schedules and identify potential bottlenecks or delays.
Optimize production workflows to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Generate operational progress report; calculating raw materials, factory supplies, chemicals & utilities consumption.
Understanding of process optimization tools such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
Monitor KPIs, analyze performance data, and report progress to senior management.
Train and develop subordinates/team members on technical, Safety & management sciences.
Conduct annual Appraisal, set KRA/KPI and continuous follow up team to achieve KRA.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align operations strategy with business goals.
Requirements:
B.Sc. in Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE) from any reputed Public University.
Minimum 08 - 10 years of experience in a manufacturing factory, especially in MNC Garments/Textile or FMCG sector.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/SAP/IBM Business Solution.
Strong communication skills in Bengali and English.
