• Supervise Operation & Maintenance team of BOGCL Tanker Logistics Department and Maintenance team of BLL 4200 DWT Tanker Vessels.
• Overseeing the vessels in terms of all kind of operation and maintenance.
• Maintenance of up to date technical and operational knowledge generally.
• Developing maintenance procedures of Lighter Vessel and ensure implementation.
• Regularly checking Lighter Vessel's engine, Boiler, Cargo Pumps, Navigational equipment, electrical and hydraulic systems to ensure functionality.
• Make plan for schedule maintenance of all machineries and execute the same to reduce downtime of vessel operation.
• Investigate the issues related to damage / accident of the vessel and take necessary measures to overcome from issues.
• Taking necessary measures to identify and solve any kind of problems of Lighter Vessel.
• Provide technical expertise to the team.
• Monitor equipment and spare inventory and place purchase orders when necessary.
• Preparation and evaluation of budgets and reporting to management on these.
• Keep down costs and optimize the efficiency of the ships.
• Conduct internal audits regularly and preparation for external audits.
• Oversight of the survey and inspection requirements including flag, classification and port state.
• Compliance with all class, flag state or any other standards and requirements.
• Maintaining safety standards and procedures as well as environmental management.
• Maintaining regular contact with contractors and service providers and ensure quality of service.
• Monitoring of the crew, both in terms of competence and morale.
• Ensuring safety policies of all workers.
• Acting as an Intermediate between crew on board and management ashore, including reporting on their performance.
• Preparation of routine docking specification.
• Plan all maintenance activities and liaise with all operational staff and sub-contractors with regards to planning and implementation of all required tasks.
• Supervise work that needs to be carried out.
• Carry out inspections of the vessels to identify and resolve issues after docking the vessels in dry-dock.
• Proper documentation and reporting.
• Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities to HOD- BLL, BSEL Sir.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required by the Management.
