Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

The Maintenance Manager is a leader responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of all departmental items.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular preventive and routine maintenance activities to ensure operational efficiency of all factory equipment and systems.

  • Promptly respond to equipment faults and diagnose mechanical, electrical, or operational breakdowns.

  • Replace or repair faulty parts and verify the correct functioning of all machines post-maintenance.

  • Perform quality checks and inspections to confirm maintenance work meets operational standards.

  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and client departments to resolve technical issues and optimize performance.

  • Coordinate procurement of tools, fixtures, spare parts, and specialized components as required.

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies and guidelines to support smooth installation and commissioning processes.

  • Manage and control inventory of maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts. Track, monitor, and control maintenance-related costs within the allocated departmental budget.

  • Handle emergencies and unplanned repairs promptly and effectively to minimize production disruption.

  • Continuously improve health, safety, and environmental procedures to meet regulatory standards and promote a safe working environment.

  • Operate and oversee the use of advanced machinery, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) on factory lines.

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and staff, ensuring high performance and reliability.

  • Ensure 24/7 coverage and rapid response to machinery and equipment breakdowns.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement within the maintenance department.

  • Align departmental operations with budgetary controls and cost efficiency initiatives.
