Educational Requirements:
∎ Candidate should have passed B.Sc in Textile from any reputed institute.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage Sourcing and development of fabrics,improve and innovate existing qualities and maintain strong relationship with Suppliers.
∎ Lead all fabric technical process.This includes driving fabric risk assessment processes and standards internally.
∎ Utilize fabric technical knowledge related to spinning ,knitting, dyeing & finishing , to guide fabric development while working closely with fabric R&D,visit textile fairs locally and international to understand the creative vision of each project.
∎ Work cross-functionally to establish all knitting fabric standards to meet league/team/program requirements and manage fabric optimization .
∎ Prioritize and direct all fabric quality management to meet development calendar timelines and on-time delivery and sourcing in conjunction with product development.
∎ Drive fabric re-engineering work to meet cost and commercial aspect, lead-time and quality challenges.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 10+ years of experience in the Textile industry Mill/Buyer end with strong understanding of fabric substrates, knowledge of color/dyeing process.
∎ Candidate must be fluent in English and have the ability to communicate with International buyers & fashion designers.
∎ Score superior on Farnsworth -Munsell 100 Hue color test would be advantage.
∎ Must be able to identify issues and analyze relevant data to determine course of action and generate solutions .
∎ Strong team players.
∎ Maintain fabric development calendar and adhere to seasonal calendar deadlines,update and maintain fabric library.
∎ Effective time management and project management skills.
∎ Work closely with product development to ensure a seamless hand over process.
∎ Work in fast-paced ,constantly changing and deadline and process-driven environment with extremely time-sensitive procedures.
∎ Understanding of Quality Control.
∎ Excellent Organizational and follow up skills.
∎ Strong PC skills in MS office.
