Job Context
KDS Textile Mills Ltd, a reputed 100% export orient Knit composite textile factory is looking for a senior Knitting Quality Control who is talented, experience and has vast technical knowledge about circular Knitting Machine of brands Santoni and Mayer& Cie.
Job Responsibilities :
Develop and implement quality control plans, SOPs, and inspection criteria for knitting operations.
Ensure all knitted fabrics meet buyer specifications (GSM, shrinkage, shade, defects, etc.) before processing.
Maintain updated knowledge of yarn, fabric properties, and knitting machine capabilities.
Supervise in-line and final inspections at knitting stages to identify defects early.
Monitor knitting parameters (stitch length, tension, yarn feed, machine speed) to maintain consistency.
Verify compliance with company quality standards and buyer requirements.
Lead, guide, and train QC inspectors and operators on defect prevention and proper inspection methods.
Allocate daily QC tasks, set priorities, and review performance of the QC team.
Investigate quality issues, root causes, and implement corrective & preventive actions with production and maintenance teams.
Liaise with knitting supervisors, maintenance, and planning departments to reduce recurring defects.
Prepare daily/weekly QC reports, defect analysis, and corrective action records.
Maintain inspection records, shade continuity logs, and audit trails for buyer and compliance audits.
Analyze defect trends, recommend process improvements, and optimize rejection rates.
Support lean, 5S, and other improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and fabric quality.
Ensure adherence to ISO, buyer, and local safety/environmental standards within QC processes.
Promote a culture of safe work practices and zero defect production.
