Responsibilities & Context:
Create, implement, and manage compliance policies and procedures to align the factory with laws, labor standards, and buyer codes of conduct.
Conduct internal audits to identify compliance gaps and prepare the factory for buyer-led external social and technical audits (e.g., WRAP, BSCI, SEDEX).
Maintain up-to-date records, registers, and all relevant documentation required for compliance, and prepare clear reports for management and regulators.
Train factory employees on health, safety, security, fire, and other compliance-related issues to ensure awareness and adherence to policies.
Perform risk assessments, identify non-compliance issues, and develop and implement Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) to address findings from internal and external audits.
Serve as a liaison between factory management and workers to foster good relations and address worker concerns and grievances related to compliance.
Stay informed about changes in labor laws, health and safety regulations, and buyer requirements to ensure the factory remains compliant.
Support the factory in achieving and maintaining international certifications (e.g., BSCI, ACCORD, Alliance) and ensuring compliance with buyer-specific requirements.
