Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure adherence to local and international regulatory requirements.
∎ Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and update the company’s compliance framework accordingly.
∎ Ensure compliance with labor laws, environmental regulations, workplace safety standards, and any other statutory requirements specific to the ceramic manufacturing industry.
∎ Coordinate with relevant government and non-government authorities for necessary certifications, permits, and approvals.
∎ Conduct internal compliance audits and inspections across all operational departments, including production, logistics, and HR, to ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
∎ Prepare for and manage external audits by regulatory agencies and ensure timely resolution of any findings.
∎ Oversee the implementation of workplace safety and environmental sustainability programs, ensuring alignment with ISO standards and other applicable certifications.
∎ Identify and mitigate workplace risks and environmental hazards, promoting a culture of health, safety, and sustainability.
∎ Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees and management to promote awareness of legal and ethical obligations.
∎ Foster a culture of compliance by regularly communicating policies and updates to employees.
∎ Monitor adherence to the company’s code of conduct and handle cases of misconduct or violations of compliance policies.
∎ Act as a confidential point of contact for employees to report concerns or potential violations.
∎ Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date compliance records, including audit reports, permits, certifications, and employee training records.
∎ Provide regular compliance reports to senior management and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
∎ Evaluate and improve compliance processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risks.
∎ Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in compliance and risk management.
