Job Context:
Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) is one of the biggest & leading conglomerates in Bangladesh. Currently, MGI is searching for some highly motivated, proactive, young, and energetic fresh graduates for its local purchase and procurement department. This position requires frequent market & plant visits to purchase raw materials & others, negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost savings while ensuring quality and timely delivery of goods and services for different kinds of business units. The incumbents will report to the department head for their duties and responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to collect purchase orders and purchase requisitions.
Maintain positive relationships with local key suppliers/vendors to collect quotations.
Prepare quotation reports, draft contracts, terms, and pricing agreements, and submit it to the line manager.
Assist in preparing purchase orders for the vendors by using ERP software and sending purchase orders to the supplier.
Communicate with suppliers to ensure delivery status and deal with non-supplied, under-orders, over-orders, and damaged goods.
Assist in generating regular procurement reports, trend analysis reports & metrics, and provide insights to line manager.
