Responsibilities & Context:

1. Project Management & Factory Setup:

   • Lead the mechanical engineering activities for the new personal care manufacturing plant.

   • Supervise the installation, commissioning, and testing of mechanical equipment and systems.

   • Ensure the factory layout design and mechanical systems meet production requirements, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.

   • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for the supply and installation of machinery and equipment.

2. Maintenance & Operations:

   • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for all mechanical systems and equipment within the plant.

   • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.

   • Ensure compliance with operational safety and quality standards.

3. Team Leadership:

   • Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers, technicians, and other technical staff.

   • Provide training and development to the team on the latest mechanical technologies, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures.

4. Budgeting & Cost Control:

   • Oversee mechanical project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and adherence to budget constraints.

   • Identify opportunities to optimize energy consumption, reduce costs, and improve equipment efficiency.

5. Compliance & Documentation:

   • Ensure adherence to local regulations, safety standards, and quality systems.

   • Maintain accurate documentation of mechanical systems, equipment, maintenance schedules, and operational procedures.

6. Collaboration & Coordination:

   • Work closely with other departments such as electrical, quality assurance, production, and safety to ensure smooth operations.

   • Act as the point of contact for any mechanical-related matters during the project phase and post-production phase.

7. Continuous Improvement:

   • Identify and implement mechanical engineering solutions to enhance plant performance, reliability, and production capacity.

   • Suggest and oversee the installation of modern technologies that enhance mechanical efficiency.
