Job Context

Our client is the leading commercial asset valuation firm in Bangladesh. They are currently seeking a high-calibre Civil Engineer to join their in-house valuation team. This role is critical in conducting technical assessments and providing accurate valuations for a wide range of commercial and industrial assets.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical inspections and technical assessments of commercial buildings, industrial structures, and infrastructure projects.

• Analyse structural integrity and estimate current market value based on depreciation, replacement costs and civil engineering standards.

• Prepare detailed valuation reports.

• Collaborate with the insurance adjustment team to provide technical civil engineering insights during loss assessments.

• Review architectural and structural drawings to verify asset specifications and bill of quantities (BOQ).

• Stay updated with local market rates for construction materials and labor to ensure valuation accuracy.

Educational Requirements

• B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from any reputed university (BUET/CUET/KUET/RUET/IUT or equivalent).

• Professional membership (e.g., IEB) is preferred.

Experience Requirements

• 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering is preferred.

• Experience in asset valuation, quantity surveying, or project management is highly desirable.

Additional Requirements

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent report-writing skills in English.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel is essential).

• Ability to travel frequently to various commercial sites across Bangladesh.

• Strong interpersonal skills for coordinating with corporate clients and insurance stakeholders.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: BDT 20,000-25,000 per month. Negotiable based on experience and expertise.
