Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Production Planning: Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and strategies to ensure efficient utilization of resources and timely delivery of products with end to Oracle ERP environment. Collaborate with other departments, such as production, procurement, distribution, sales and align production plans with overall business objectives.
∎ Capacity Planning: Assess production capacity and capabilities to determine if they meet the projected demand. Identify potential bottlenecks or constraints and propose solutions to optimize capacity utilization. Coordinate with the operations team to ensure production capabilities align with planned volumes.
∎ Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain appropriate FG inventory levels to support sales plans while minimizing carrying costs and stockouts. Develop inventory strategies, such as safety stock levels, reorder points, and replenishment strategies, to achieve optimal inventory levels.
∎ Resource Allocation: Lead in allocating resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to meet production schedules. Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
∎ Production Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production planning, such as production output, cycle time, on-time delivery, and efficiency. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance operational performance.
∎ Continuous Improvement: Lead and Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production planning processes and optimize overall supply chain efficiency. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce lead times, eliminate waste, and enhance production agility.
∎ Cross-functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration and effective communication with various departments, including operations, procurement, sales, and finance. Work closely with these teams to ensure alignment and coordination throughout the production planning process.
∎ Team Management: Lead and manage a team of production planners or schedulers. Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure the team's success in meeting production goals and objectives.
