Education:
    • Bachelor of Science (BSc)

  • B.Sc. in Textile Engineering, majoring in Wet Processing / Fabric Manufacturing, from any reputed university.

Additional Requirements:
  • Must have 1 year of experience for Asst Officer and a minimum of 2 years of Experience for Officer in relevant field;

  • Self-driven to work under pressure and self-motivated to take new initiatives;

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PPT;



Responsibilities & Context:
  1. Production Coordination:

    • Report day-to-day activities to the Production Manager.

    • Assist in preparing production schedules and timelines for both dyeing and knitting processes.

    • Estimate costs for production processes, raw materials, dyeing chemicals, yarn, and equipment.

    • Ensure that both dyeing and knitting quality standards and company guidelines are consistently met.

    • Coordinate with team members to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery of both dyed and knitted products.

    • Handle communication with selected buyers and ensure their requirements are met.

  2. Yarn Management:

    • Oversee yarn inventory levels to meet production demands, minimizing downtime in both knitting and dyeing departments.

    • Conduct regular yarn inventory audits, cycle counts, and resolve any stock discrepancies.

    • Implement best practices for yarn storage, handling, and preservation to avoid damage or degradation.

    • Collaborate with the procurement team to source and order yarn based on production needs and forecasts.

    • Inspect incoming yarn and dyeing materials shipments for quality and compliance with company standards.

    • Address quality issues with suppliers and manage corrective actions when necessary.

    • Maintain detailed records of yarn quality inspections and supplier performance.

    • Utilize inventory management software for tracking yarn levels, usage, and procurement activities.

    • Generate regular reports on yarn inventory, usage trends, and procurement performance.

    • Coordinate with production, R&D, and design teams to align yarn requirements with schedules.

  3. Dyeing Process Management:

    • Oversee the dyeing process to ensure the color consistency and quality of the final product.

    • Collaborate with the dyeing team to optimize dyeing techniques, including color matching and quality checks.

    • Develop and test new dyeing formulas to achieve desired results while maintaining sustainability practices.

    • Ensure that dyeing materials and chemicals comply with environmental and health regulations.

    • Coordinate with the quality control team to perform inspections at each stage of the dyeing process.

    • Troubleshoot any issues related to color fastness, dyeing machinery, or material inconsistencies.

  4. Knitting Process Management:

    • Supervise the knitting process, ensuring that the right yarn and knitting techniques are used to meet design specifications.

    • Experiment with various knitting patterns, yarns, and fibers to innovate new fabric designs.

    • Troubleshoot any issues in the knitting process, including machine malfunctions or material defects.

    • Ensure that the finished knitted fabrics meet required specifications in terms of size, texture, and durability.

    • Collaborate with the design team to create new knitted fabric samples and prototypes.

  5. Research & Development:

    • Develop new knitting and dyeing products from concept to prototype to final production.

    • Conduct experiments with various yarns, fibers, dyeing chemicals, and knitting techniques to create innovative fabrics.

    • Analyze existing dyeing and knitting processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

    • Test and evaluate new materials, dyes, and techniques to improve product quality and production efficiency.

    • Work with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and marketing, to ensure R&D aligns with company goals.

    • Present research findings, prototypes, and process improvements to management and stakeholders.

    • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in dyeing and knitting technologies to drive innovation.

  6. General Production Management:

    • Monitor and manage the inventory of raw materials for both dyeing and knitting.

    • Address production disputes, ensuring urgent matters are escalated to the Production Manager.

    • Possess deep knowledge of the entire production process, from yarn preparation, dyeing, and knitting to fabric delivery.

    • Understand buyer-specific test requirements for both knitted and dyed fabrics.

    • Prepare and maintain regular production status reports, highlighting any delays, quality issues, or areas for improvement.

    • Assist in hiring and training new team members, ensuring they are equipped with necessary skills for both dyeing and knitting processes.

    • Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental procedures at all times during the dyeing and knitting production stages.

    • Review production budgets and recommend cost-saving measures or process improvements.
