Working as the sustainability head/manager of any renowned garment group for at least 3 years.
Having at least 8 years of experience in the garment/textile industry.
Good command of computer office applications, Internet, email & etc.
Good communication skills.
Responsibilities & Context:
Job Purpose
The Sustainability Head/Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and continuously improving the Group’s sustainability and ESG strategy across all spinning, textile, garment and associated manufacturing operations.
Industry: Spinning, Textile & Apparel Manufacturing
Job Location: Mirpur, Dhaka; visiting the factories as/when required.
Reports to: Managing Director/Director
Key Responsibilities
To implement the Group’s carbon reduction and decarbonization roadmap.
To monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities for energy efficiency and emission reduction.
To monitor and reduce water consumption across garment operations.
To ensure alignment with ZDHC, MRSL and relevant buyer chemical requirements.
To develop and implement the Group’s waste management and circularity strategy.
To monitor environmental performance of ETPs, WTPs, boilers and other critical environmental infrastructure.
To coordinate environmental audits, inspections and corrective action plans such as Higg, Step, ISO etc.
To work closely with HR, Compliance and factory management to strengthen social sustainability and support the social audits.
To coordinate preparation of the Group’s Annual Sustainability / ESG Report and support GRI, CDP and other relevant sustainability disclosures.
To act as the Group’s one of the keys sustainability contacts for international brands, retailers, sourcing companies, auditors and sustainability organizations.
To respond to buyer sustainability questionnaires, assessments and data requests.
To prepare presentations, reports and sustainability profiles for customers.
