Responsibilities & Context:
  • Plan and execute daily finishing activities based on sewing output, production plans, and shipment schedules.

  • Ensure smooth coordination and workflow between Sewing, Finishing, and Packing sections.

  • Monitor daily production targets and take necessary corrective actions to achieve planned goals.

  • Ensure all garments meet buyer-approved quality standards, specifications, and requirements.

  • Monitor and control finishing defects, including stains, poor ironing, incorrect folding, tagging issues, and packing errors.

  • Supervise all finishing processes, including thread trimming, stain removal, ironing, folding, tagging, assortment, and packing.

  • Ensure proper handling of garments throughout the finishing and packing processes.

  • Ensure proper use, operation, and maintenance of finishing equipment, including irons, vacuum tables, metal detectors, and related equipment.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Finishing section.

  • Ensure timely completion of finishing and packing activities to meet shipment deadlines.

  • Coordinate with Merchandising, Planning, QA/QC, Warehouse, Logistics, and other relevant departments for smooth operations.

  • Prepare and maintain daily production, finishing, quality, and shipment-related reports with accurate documentation.

  • Lead and supervise the finishing team, including Supervisors, Checkers, Ironers, Packers, and other relevant personnel.

  • Ensure effective manpower planning, allocation, and utilization to maximize productivity.

  • Monitor team performance and implement necessary actions to improve productivity and efficiency.

  • Maintain discipline, teamwork, cleanliness, and a safe working environment on the finishing floor.

  • Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, factory policies, quality standards, and applicable procedures.

  • Ensure strict adherence to workplace safety standards, particularly in ironing, metal detection, and packing areas.

  • Identify and minimize rejection, rework, defects, and material wastage in finishing processes.

  • Improve finishing efficiency and control the cost per piece through effective process management.

  • Monitor overall finishing performance and continuously implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.

  • Identify operational bottlenecks and take timely corrective and preventive actions.

  • Support management in achieving overall production, quality, productivity, cost, and shipment targets.

  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management related to the Finishing operation.
