Responsibilities & Context:
Lead the Technical Department for sweater sample development, pre-production, and bulk production.
Make sure customer technical requirements, audits, and technical problem-solving when required.
Provide technical direction on garment construction, knitting, measurements, shape, finishing, and production feasibility.
Review technical specifications, knitting charts, yarn consumption, machine requirements, and customer comments.
Lead PP and technical meetings and ensure all technical and quality requirements are clearly communicated and implemented.
Oversee technician/sample development and ensure technical issues are identified and resolved before bulk production.
Coordinate with Merchandising, Design, IE, Programming, Knitting, Production, and Quality teams to resolve technical issues.
Ensure smooth transfer of approved samples and technical requirements into bulk production.
Drive improvements in product quality, productivity, production efficiency, and manufacturing cost.
Identify technical risks and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Lead, coach, and develop the Technical team to achieve departmental KPIs and business objectives.
Perform any other responsibilities assigned by management.
