∎ Purpose:
∎ IRC is seeking to hire a full time Innovation Specialist in Bangladesh to support the launch of a new innovation project for education in Bangladesh. Our multi-disciplinary teams build, facilitate and contribute on projects that span research through prototyping, piloting, evaluation and scaling. Our solution will be co-created in partnership with key partners, including implementation partners and solution partners.
∎ You must be comfortable in a fast paced, collaborative and flexible working environment to help to manage the diverse, multi-disciplinary work. Experience of working in cross-functional teams is essential.
∎ We are looking for a self-motivated, highly organized individual with an eye for detail to support an exciting new education program to support the process for developing exciting new educational programming in Bangladesh, scope existing solutions nationally, and manage the startup of the new education innovation project in Bangladesh.
∎ The successful candidate will report to the Education Coordinator in Bangladesh and coordinate with the global Education GRIP Lead to support delivery of the programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the innovation process and reporting and will be a key focal point for working with a diverse set of partners.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Innovation Specialist will be an integral part of the Bangladesh Country team and will work collaboratively with the Airbel Research & Innovation team and the Education Technical Unit (TU) at various stages of innovation and research.
∎ # Innovation pilots and planning for the scaling of solutions
∎ Oversee the design and launch of new innovation pilots in coordination with the technology, education and developmental/humanitarian implementation partners
∎ Coordinate inputs and activities from key partners for the design and pilot period, including external consultants (landscaping), implementation partners, and solution partners.
∎ Ensure solutions identified have relevance and opportunities for replication and scale in Bangladesh, and are contextualized to meet the needs of crisis affected learners in Bangladesh
∎ Support further understanding of localized student and teacher needs for education, preferably in humanitarian contexts
∎ Support the landscaping of existing innovative solutions (including EdTech) in the national l and local markets
∎ Oversee data collection and M&E efforts for pilots
∎ # National Innovation partnerships & convening
∎ Build and maintain a network of innovation process and education solution partners who can support the development of new educational products and services. This includes individuals, implementers, consultancies and start ups.
∎ Work with local innovators in Bangladesh, the Airbel team and other key internal & external stakeholders (remote and/or in person) to plan, facilitate and synthesize design processes to support innovation projects.
∎ # Program & Project Management
∎ Manage delivery across several projects with multi-disciplinary teams that include education, technology, design, innovation, implementation and research expertise.
∎ Recruitment and hiring of team members and consultants
∎ Ensure that projects are delivered to agreed goals, on time and on budget. Oversee program budget and ensure targets are being met within the team.
∎ Lead on procurements activities, e.g. Request for Proposals, hiring.
∎ Actively participate in continuous improvement activities eg. retrospectives delivery team meetings.
∎ Clear monitoring and reporting (monthly, quarterly and annually) against program level deliverables and KPIs.
∎ # Business development
∎ Support business development through scoping proposals prior to inception.
∎ Attend and represent IRC at meetings and events.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 5 - 6 years of experience delivering projects and programs ideally in NGO or social enterprise settings.
∎ Experience of working with cross functional teams.
∎ Experience of delivering innovation projects (ideally education technology and innovation ones) end-to-end, on time, on budget and to a high quality.
∎ Experience of financial management at project and program level.
∎ Good understanding of, and experience with, project planning software
∎ Enjoys collaborative working, flexible structures and working with a geographically dispersed team.
∎ Ability to multi-task and move quickly between projects through effective prioritization.
∎ Organized and with excellent attention to detail.
∎ Ability to apply a diversity and inclusion lens and approach to work.
∎ Cares about the mission and goals of the IRC.
∎ Preferred experience working in education in humanitarian contexts.
∎ Preferred experience creating or incubating digital solutions.
∎ Experience of working on projects with a diverse range of non-profit, commercial and entrepreneurial stakeholders
∎ Communication skills in English, Bengali and Chittagonian

Salary:
∎ Gross Salary: BDT 156,000 (Per Month), Retention Benefits: 2 (Two) Basic salaries in a year, eligible after 6 months of service, Gratuity: As per Policy, Health and Life Insurance. Mobile Allowance: as per policy)
