Job Context:
∎ To provide support human resources management in the volunteer recruitment process and also ensures the effective and efficient implementation of the program`s HR strategy in compliance with both legal frameworks and the internal frameworks defined by the organization at the base level.
∎ Line Manager: Programme HR Manager
∎ Type of Contract: Fixed-term
∎ Level of Position: Entry Level
∎ Duration of the Contract: From as early to 31 October 2021 with the possibility of extension

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsibilities 1: Ensure the respect and implementation of the mission policies and procedures (recruitment, induction, assessment, and training) for volunteer
∎ Support on the recruitment and selection process of the volunteer in Cox's Bazar within HI Bangladesh by ensuring the application of HR standards and procedures during the process.
∎ Ensure on implementation HI-BGD volunteer management procedures and policies.
∎ Schedule and organize interviews in cooperation with the respective department and Senior HR Officer
∎ Prepare agreement and check the reference
∎ Organize volunteer induction and other training when necessary.
∎ File and archive volunteer agreements.
∎ Update Volunteer Information Database.
∎ Ensuring monthly payments to the volunteers on time
∎ Responsibilities 2: Assist the national human resources management
∎ Employee attendance management as per HI policy
∎ Assisting in the implementation of Human Resources Policies and Procedure at field level
∎ Explaining and providing information on employee benefits, programs to the staff
∎ Answering employee questions and addressing employee concerns and provide information to staff as to where to go for help or ask questions. If required discuss with the line manager prioritizing according to the needs and risks.
∎ Ensuring staff are following the HR policies including the Code of Conduct
∎ Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organization;
∎ Be proactive in identifying issues, themes, and patterns affecting the workforce including sexual harassment and abuse of authority.
∎ Assist Senior HR officer to ensure that on-boarding, induction, re-integration into the workplace and off-boarding support, is provided to the staff
∎ Plan and sometimes deliver training, including new staff inductions if required

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 21 to 63 years
∎ At least 2 years' experience working with the human resource department in a reputed development organization in a similar role
∎ Excellent analytical and numerical skills
∎ Ability to priorities, strong organizational skills
∎ Autonomy and ability to work as part of a team
∎ The real motivation for working in the humanitarian sector
∎ Computer skills: excel, word, PowerPoint
∎ Communication skills: Excellent communications skills both in Bangla and English
∎ Knowledge about HR Software

Salary:
∎ Tk. 52731 - 55881 (Monthly)
∎ Hardship Allowance will be added in addition to working in Cox`s Bazar District.

The main office is based in Dhaka, and presently there are 3 site offices in Sitakundo, Kurigram and in Cox’sbazar.

Presently HI Bangladesh is implementing projects on integrating disability in community based disaster risk reduction and response; economic empowerment of extreme poor persons with disabilities; mainstreaming disability in livelihood interventions; support to refugees and surrounding communities;, capacity building of professional associations; and support to Disabled People`s Organizations; among others.”
