Experience and Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a field related to Human Resources Management, Talent Management, or Business Administration from a reputed institution.
Ideal candidate should have at least 8 years’ experience in Talent Management, Acquisition or People Partnering
Experience requirements can be relaxed for highly agile candidates who demonstrate energy and a strong willingness to learn quickly.
Previous experience in People Partnering within a business area similar to the Merchandising function within the industry will be considered an added advantage.
The ability to design, implement, and manage onboarding processes is essential.
The ideal candidate should possess the maturity to act as a trusted advisor and manage challenging HR situations with confidence and minimal supervision.

Job Context
As a mid-level HRBP you will assist the Senior Manager – HRBP in their coaching/advisory duties, helping line managers deal with people-related issues, or participating in the process of developing the talent agenda for the Merchandising function across Business Units. You will be directly involving in the HR value chain and cycle from onboarding till exit. The HRBP key agenda is to roll-out initiatives for a future-ready workplace by focusing on the existing workforce and preparing them for the future.
Job Responsibilities
Develop a thorough understanding of the Merchandising function and the business area where you provide HR support, ensuring a comprehensive HR partnering service that aligns with organizational goals.
Take a proactive, solutions-focused approach to organizational challenges. Identify new ways of working and innovate current approaches to meet the evolving needs of the business.
Conduct regular one-on-one discussions and meetings with employees within the Merchandising function, either in person or virtually. Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership and employees.
Act as the main point of contact for employees to discuss confidential matters or grievances. Provide support and guidance to resolve sensitive issues.
Maintain and analyse the HRBP database to derive insights related to workforce demographics, gender diversity, performance, turnover, grievance management, and feedback. Present actionable solutions to improve retention and engagement.
Develop and implement a comprehensive new joiner onboarding program in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team. Take part in the orientation sessions and monitor the onboarding process, building strong relationships with new hires and providing feedback for continuous improvement.
Partner with team managers to provide valued insights and interventions on people management, including talent mapping and effective team leadership. Utilize these relationships to provide insights and interventions that align with business needs.
Provide mentorship and development support to junior colleagues in the HR directorate, including delivering appropriate training, recruitment, performance monitoring, managing absence, and conducting performance reviews.
