Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implement and maintain the HIS of the project (Providing data entry) and contribute to the preparation of HIS reports as required;
∎ Preparation of monthly/quarterly/half yearly/yearly MIS reports;
∎ Assist the Program Manager Manager/PHC in Charge in preparing other relevant reports;
∎ Organize and conduct training on HIS to the project staff.
∎ Assist Program Manager/PHC in Charge in the preparation of reports on the findings and lessons learned from project;
∎ Provide input and update information related to local governance in UNHCR and GOB website;
∎ Support to prepare Issues Log and Risk Log for the project;
∎ Manage Health Information Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain health information systems to effectively capture and manage health-related data in accordance with the Donor requirement
∎ Data Collection and Reporting: Coordinate and supervise the collection, validation, and analysis of health data from various sources, including health facilities, community health workers, and other stakeholders. Prepare regular reports (monthly/quarterly/half yearly/yearly MIS reports) and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
∎ Information Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, security, and integrity of health information. Adhere to data protection regulations and maintain data privacy and security.
∎ Capacity Building: Train and support healthcare staff in the proper use of health information systems, data collection techniques, and data management protocols. Conduct workshops and training sessions to enhance data quality and reporting.
∎ Data Analysis and Utilization: Analyze health data to identify trends, patterns, and gaps in service delivery. Generate actionable insights and recommendations for evidence-based decision-making and program improvement.
∎ System Maintenance and Upgrades: Monitor the performance of health information systems, identify system issues, and coordinate with technical support teams for troubleshooting and system upgrades. Ensure system functionality and data backup.
∎ Research Support: Collaborate with researchers and participate in research projects by providing access to health data, assisting in data analysis, and contributing to research publications and presentations.
∎ Compliance and Standards: Stay updated with national and international health information standards, guidelines, and policies. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices in health information management.
∎ Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including health authorities, partners, and NGOs, to enhance data sharing, standardization, and integration.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 30 years
∎ minimum 2-3 years of work experience in relevant field
∎ Have expertise in analysing data using statistical software;
∎ Have strong training & facilitation skills;
∎ Strong communication and IT skill
∎ Knowledge Management and Learning
∎ In-depth knowledge on MIS, M&E and development issues with a special focus on local governance;
∎ Excellent communication skills (written and oral): Sensitivity to and responsiveness to all partners, Respectful and helpful relations with LGD, donors and project staffs.
