Job Context:
∎ The Information Officer will work closely with the Clinical Supervisor to maintain all information hub’s operation in specifically- deployment, monitoring data, prepare plan, check and inform about the project progress against target. S/he will also be liaising with partner agencies and individual teams within (org.) to collect and collate activities and monitoring data. The successful candidate will also be responsible for implementing objectively set of program action plan as per guide from senior management for effective decision making. The position is based in Rohingya camps and (adjacent host community areas within) Cox’s Bazar as necessary.
∎ Close guidance and support will be provided by the Manager/SPO/(any)-CwC.In order to accomplish the above, s/he will need to be proactive, quick learner and form and maintain a thorough understanding of (org)’s history, values, culture, policies and long-term programming strategies
∎ Work Station: Ukhiya/Teknaf, Cox`s bazar
∎ Contract Length: Till February, 2023 (with possibility of extension)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Highlights of Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
∎ Objective 1: Operational: To ensure smooth and proper running of Communication with Communities (CwC) program in info hub/info corner.
∎ Efficiently address and provide quick solutions to problems and questions.
∎ Organize and facilitate regular group discussions in the Info Hubs.
∎ Organize outreach activities, when required, to ensure that Info Hubs become a known and trustworthy point for information and feedback in the community.
∎ Ensure the Info Hubs are closely working in collaboration with different programs of (org.).
∎ Identify opportunities to ensure engagement of population groups who are less accessible (e.g. women, PLWs, elderly groups).
∎ Refer beneficiaries to services of (org.) and other services by different agencies, as per need.
∎ Objective 2: Support high quality reporting, monitoring and documentation.
∎ Keep daily records of all community feedback, complaints and questions.
∎ Assist Manager/SPO/supervisor to produce high quality reports with qualitative and quantitative data.
∎ Follow up and cross check referral cases with communities and service facilities of (org.).
∎ Ensure feedback mechanisms are fully functional in Info Hubs.
∎ Take pro-active steps to address community feedback received, with support from (org.)’s management.
∎ Ensure regular follow-up and proper treatment of complaints with (org.)’s Complaint Management Unit (CMU) through SPO/supervisor.
∎ Promote two-way and interactive communications in all Info Hubs to create an enabling environment.
∎ Objective 3: Supervise the quality of services in the Info Hubs/Info Corners.
∎ Ensure that hygiene and sanitation rules are respected in the Info Hubs.
∎ Ensure crowd management, when needed.
∎ Ensure beneficiaries feel welcome in the Info Hubs.
∎ Ensure information services are provided respectfully to beneficiaries.
∎ Objective 4: Communication and coordination
∎ Communicate and coordinate with other (org.)’s programs.
∎ Maintain collaboration with other stakeholders who are also responding to the refugee crisis.
∎ Closely monitor the quality of services in the Info Hubs and outreach activities.
∎ Support SPO/supervisor and CwC officials during external visits (donors or partners).
∎ Attend trainings and workshops, as per nee
∎ Objective 5: Proactively support (org.)s commitments to gender equality, child protection and disability sensitivity
∎ Read and ensure a full understanding of (org.)’s Gender Minimum Standards & Child Protection Policies, asking questions and/or for support when necessary.
∎ Implement all work related activities with a gender, disability and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns and ideas of our staff and beneficiaries
∎ Ensure the incorporation of gender equity principles in all policies and activities
∎ Encourage the participation of all genders in meeting and on committees
∎ Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.
∎ Understand the basics tenants of (org.)’s Gender Minimum Standards & Child Protection Policies.

∎ Minimum 1 year of experience humanitarian sector
∎ Must willing to work in pressure
∎ Candidate who can join immediately will have priority
∎ Very good skills MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point
∎ Excellent interpersonal and team skills
∎ Dedications to humanitarian principles and values
∎ Dedications to and understanding of IRC’s aims, values and principles
∎ People who have knowledge in Chittagonian language will get preference

Salary: Tk. 40950 (Monthly)
