Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Oversee and guide Factory technical operations in sewing, finishing, and machine setup.
∎ Review and optimize garment construction methods for efficiency and cost.
∎ Analyze technical issues on the floor and provide immediate solutions.
∎ Evaluate machinery needs and upgrade recommendations.
∎ Collaborate with production planning and IE teams to ensure smooth line feeding and workflow.
∎ Ensure technical readiness before style input – including tech pack review, risk assessment, and operator training.
∎ Provide active support in pilot runs and bulk production for new styles.
∎ Work with Quality team to ensure right-first-time production.
∎ Analyze root causes of defects and implement preventive measures.
∎ Set technical SOPs for critical operations and ensure compliance.
∎ Lead and supervise technical team – sewing technicians, mechanics, floor quality controllers, and supervisors.
∎ Conduct regular technical training for sewing operators and line leaders.
∎ Develop skill matrix and drive multi-skill development.
∎ Liaise with merchandising, production, and quality teams for technical alignment.
∎ Participate in pre-production meetings and customer technical audits.
∎ Ensure technical comments from buyers are understood and implemented correctly.
∎ 1. Technical Management
