  • Masters/ Bachelor’s degree from a reputed university with a satisfactory academic track record.

  • Minimum 12 to 15 years of experience with a minimum of 6 years in regulatory monitoring in the banking or financial services industry.

  • Experience in conducting/ managing Audit, Monitoring, Regulatory Inspection, Specialization on Core-risk areas, anti-financial crime intelligence, financial analysis, identification of risk areas, identifying trends of systemic control lapses etc.

  • Extensive experience in working in ICC Division including compliance, audit, monitoring in Bangladesh and/or other countries.

  • Strong understanding of off-site supervision, investigation, and analysis of processes.

  • A clear understanding of relevant laws, regulations and industry best practices.

  • Self-propelled, proficient in customer-centricity, team player, and capability to meet deadlines.

BRAC Bank is currently looking for an ambitious, intelligent, goal-oriented, and enthusiastic individual for the following position in its Internal Control and Compliance Division:

Head of Regulatory Monitoring

Grade: SVP-EVP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage regulatory risk, coordinate with internal departments and external regulatory bodies, and ensure timely and accurate filings, certifications, and licensing.

  • Design and implement comprehensive monitoring policies and procedures to assess compliance with current laws, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Ensure all necessary licenses, permits, returns, filings, and certifications are processed, tracked, and updated according to regulatory timelines.

  • Identify potential regulatory risks and non-compliance issues. investigate, address, and report any compliance breaches or concerns, establishing corrective action plans as needed.

  • Serve as the principal point of contact for regulatory authorities, facilitating inspections, audits, and regulatory inquiries. Maintain strong relationships with regulators to keep abreast of regulatory changes.

  • Oversee continuous monitoring systems to evaluate compliance status and effectiveness of regulatory controls. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and the board on regulatory matters.

  • Manage and develop the regulatory monitoring team, ensuring proper training, performance management, and efficient resource allocation.

  • Collaborate with senior management to update and revise regulatory policies reflecting current legislation/regulatory directives, ensuring bank-wide awareness and adherence.

  • Work closely with legal, compliance, quality assurance, operations, finance, and other departments to coordinate regulatory monitoring and compliance initiatives.

  • Support preparation and response for regulatory inspections, audits, and examinations, ensuring all documentation and processes meet required standards.
