Now, Desh General Insurance Company Ltd. has amassed more than BDT 240 million with a credit rating of AA (long term). Desh General Insurance Company (DGIC) has a presence in the strategically important parts of the country which includes 19 branches.
Position Description: It is a mid-level position based at Desh General Insurance Company Limited’s Branch Office located in anywhere in Bangladesh. We are looking for our different branches as “Branch Manager”.
Job Responsibilities
· Managing the branch office of Desh General Insurance Company Ltd.
· Increase non-life insurance business.
· Contact with all levels of organisation’s employees including senior management on an “as needed” basis
· Regular contact with fronting insurers to ensure local policy issue, premium collection and premium transfer.
· Properly recording of all financial transactions of respective divisional office
· Proposal Underwriting Scrutiny.
· Underwriting decision as per authority limit.
· Policy Document issue and distribution as per Company’s policy.
· Enter client’s data into IMS/System for preparing documents and necessary adjustments.
· Process all bill vouchers before reimbursement.
· To confirm the timely all sorts of Customer Services
· Maintain the register, i.e. Cashbook, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Visitor complaints:
· Maintain Insurance records and be responsible for IMS ( Insurance Management System)
· Achieve business budget – assets, liabilities and other targets of the branch as set by Head Office.
· Oversee all operation and service aspects of the branch, i.e. product promotion, client service, branch administration etc.
· Maintain branch service standard and strive to improve it.
· Ensure all reporting are done complying with all regulatory compliance and timely manner.
· Proper distribution of work among branch employees through well-defined tasks and responsibilities and ensure that right people are placed in the right positions.
· Liaison with Head Office for time to time updated status of work progress.
· Any other work / responsibility as and when assigned by the supervisor or Management of the company.
