Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, or a related discipline (educational qualifications may be relaxed for candidates with substantial hands-on experience in the relevant field).

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in fashion design, preferably within a woven fabric or textile manufacturing environment.

• Proven experience working with internationally renowned buyers specially Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, NEXT, Jack & Jones, Walmart, Primark, GAP, Target, Inditex, American Eagle, and other EU, USA, UK and Asian buyers.

• Both male and female candidates are encouraged to apply.

• Willingness to travel between factory and head office for coordination and development follow-up as required.

• Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of woven fabric structures, yarns, dyes, finishes, and fabric performance·

  • Ability to interpret fabric technical parameters and convert them into fashion applications·

  • Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD tools, etc.)

  • Understanding of garment construction and fabric behavior in apparel·

  • Knowledge of global fashion trends and buyer expectations.

Job Context

Paramount Textile PLC is a woven fabric manufacturing company engaged exclusively in supplying international apparel markets. To meet the specialized design, technical, and sustainability requirements of global buyers and to strengthen its fabric-driven product development functions, the Company intends to recruit a Fashion Designer with advanced knowledge of textiles, Yarn and woven fabrics and proven experience working with internationally renowned buyers such as Walmart, Primark, Calvin Klein, NEXT, Tommy Hilfiger, J&J, GAP, DKNY, and others. The position will analyze global fashion trends and translate them into commercially feasible, sustainable, and environmentally responsible fabric developments, consistent with the Company’s manufacturing capabilities. The role requires coordination between the factory and Head Office, involving close collaboration with production, R&D, and marketing functions, to maintain competitiveness in the global textile market.

Job Responsibilities

•  Design & Product Development

  • Develop fabric-based fashion designs driven by market research, trend forecasting, and competitive brand analysis.

  • Conceptualize and develop customer-oriented design ranges and collections aligned with market demand.

  • Translate woven fabric characteristics—including yarn type, weave structure, GSM, finishes, and end-use—into innovative apparel and fashion applications.

  • Prepare seasonal collections, mood boards, color palettes, and design themes based on fabric availability and buyer requirements.

  • Create detailed technical design specifications to ensure production feasibility and manufacturability.

•  Buyer & Market Collaboration

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with global B2B clients, particularly in the EU and USA fashion markets.

  • Strengthen sourcing and market connectivity across key Asian textile hubs.

  • Collaborate with fabric marketing teams by providing design and trend-based inputs aligned with buyer expectations.

  • Participate in buyer meetings, presentations, and design discussions to support business development initiatives.

  • Customize and develop fabric designs based on buyer requirements, target markets, price points, and commercial feasibility.

  • Research global fashion trends and translate them into woven fabric developments aligned with the Company’s manufacturing capabilities.

•  Textile & Fabric Expertise

  • Analyze and utilize different woven fabric constructions (plain, twill, satin, dobby, jacquard, etc.)

  • Select appropriate yarns, fiber blends, finishes, and treatments for design intent

  • Work closely with R&D, weaving, dyeing, finishing, and quality teams

  • Ensure designs are compatible with mass production and quality standards

•  Factory Coordination & Execution

  • Regularly work from the factory floor to ensure design execution accuracy

  • Monitor sample development, strike-offs, and fabric approvals

  • Resolve design-related production challenges in coordination with technical teams

  • Ensure timelines are maintained for sampling and order development

•  Compliance, Cost & Sustainability

  • Ensure designs comply with buyer compliance standards and sustainability requirements

  • Optimize designs to balance aesthetics, cost efficiency, and fabric performance

  • Promote sustainable fabric usage and eco-friendly design practices where applicable

• Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain proper design documentation, fabric swatches, and sample records

  • Prepare design reports and development updates for management

  • Support internal training by sharing textile and design knowledge with relevant teams
