Responsibilities & Context:

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive credit card business strategy aligned with organizational objectives.

  • Lead portfolio expansion while maintaining optimal risk-return balance.

  • Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and partnership models.

Business Growth & Profitability

  • Drive acquisition, activation, usage, and retention of cardholders.

  • Manage P&L, pricing, interchange income, fee income, and cost optimization.

  • Strengthen merchant acquiring and strategic alliances to enhance spend and acceptance.

Product & Innovation

  • Lead product design, feature enhancements, rewards, loyalty programs, and digital propositions.

  • Oversee card lifecycle management including sourcing, issuance, renewals, upgrades, and closures.

  • Collaborate with IT and digital teams to enhance customer journeys and system capabilities.

Risk, Credit & Compliance

  • Ensure robust credit underwriting, limit management, collections, and recovery frameworks.

  • Maintain full compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations, internal policies, and audit requirements.

  • Proactively monitor portfolio quality, delinquencies, and fraud risks.

Operations & Service Excellence

  • Oversee card operations, dispute management, chargebacks, and vendor relationships.

  • Ensure high service standards, turnaround times, and customer satisfaction.

  • Continuously improve processes through automation and control enhancement.

People & Stakeholder Management

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing credit card team.

  • Work closely with Retail, CMSME, Operations, Risk, Finance, Marketing, and Compliance.

  • Represent the division at senior management forums and regulatory engagements.
