• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• 4–5 years of experience in Core Banking Solutions, database administration, IT operations in banking or financial institutions.

• Experience in database tuning, performance optimization, infrastructure networking, and security integration.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders and vendors.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage critical incidents.

Job Title: Software Support Engineer

Location: Banani, Dhaka

Grade: Senior Officer

Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Purpose:

The Software Support Engineer will manage and support the Core Banking Solution (CBS), ensure system stability, coordinate with vendors, and oversee database operations supporting critical financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Management & Support

• Manage, configure, and support the Core Banking Solution (CBS).

• Provide L2/L3 technical support for application-related issues and production incidents.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with application vendors for deployment, customization, patching, upgrades, and issue resolution.

• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to support operational requirements and system improvements.

Requirements Analysis & Enhancement

• Perform business and technical requirement analysis for system enhancements and new features.

• Prepare technical specifications and solution documentation.

• Support business teams during system changes to ensure alignment with functional requirements.

Testing & Release Management

• Conduct and support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) prior to production release.

• Validate application functionality, data integrity, and system performance before go-live.

• Ensure smooth deployment and provide post-go-live support.

Database Administration & Operations

• Administer and maintain Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL databases supporting core financial systems.

Documentation, Training & Knowledge Sharing

• Maintain comprehensive IT and system documentation.

• Train and guide junior team members and end-users when required.

• Promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.
