Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 8–12 years of experience in industrial/commercial building construction.
Proven experience managing full factory or large industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of structural systems, MEP coordination, and industrial layouts.
Excellent budgeting and cost control experience.
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel, and project management tools.
Strong leadership and contractor management skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience in garment or textile factory construction.
Knowledge of compliance standards (fire, labor, environmental).
Experience dealing with banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
Familiarity with machinery installation coordination.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Design Management

• Coordinate with architects, structural, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and utility consultants.

• Review and approve architectural and structural drawings.

• Ensure compliance with BNBC, fire, environmental, and industrial regulations.

• Prepare detailed project schedules and milestones (Gantt charts).

2. Construction Supervision

• Oversee all site activities including civil works, piling, foundation, structure, roofing, flooring, and finishing.

• Ensure quality control of materials and workmanship.

• Monitor contractor performance and manage subcontractors.

• Conduct regular site inspections and progress reporting to management.

3. Procurement & Cost Control

• Lead procurement of construction materials and major infrastructure components.

• Evaluate vendor quotations and negotiate contracts.

• Control project budget and prevent cost overruns.

• Monitor BOQ execution and certify contractor bills.

4. Infrastructure & Utilities Setup

• Oversee installation of electrical systems, generators, substations, boilers, compressors, and ETP.

• Coordinate layout planning for machinery installation.

• Ensure production flow optimization and factory compliance standards.

5. Risk Management & Compliance

• Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.

• Ensure workplace safety standards are maintained.

• Liaise with government authorities for approvals and documentation.

6. Reporting

• Provide weekly and monthly progress reports to the Board.

• Maintain documentation of contracts, drawings, approvals, and site changes.
