Experience:

• At least 18 years

• Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg)

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline

• Professional HSSE certifications preferred (NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 45001/14001, or equivalent)

• At least 18 years

• 18+ years of experience in terminal operations and construction.

• 10-15+ years of progressive HSSE experience, with significant exposure to large infrastructure or construction projects

• Experience in managing complex, fast-track projects.

• Proven experience in greenfield projects, preferably in ports, terminals, maritime infrastructure, oil & gas, energy, or heavy construction

• Strong working knowledge of local HSSE regulations, international standards, and corporate HSSE frameworks

• Proven leadership experience managing HSSE in complex, multi-contractor construction environments

• Strong capability to act as client-side HSSE representative, influencing contractors and partners

• Hands-on experience implementing HSSE systems from project setup through construction and transition to operations

• Ability to proactively identify risks and drive preventive actions with a positive HSSE mindset

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

• Strong on-site presence with ability to constructively challenge unsafe practices

• High personal integrity and commitment to safety, health, security, and environmental excellence

• We are seeking an experienced HSSE Manager to lead the Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental agenda for the development and construction of a greenfield container terminal project in Bangladesh.

• This role has full accountability for planning, implementing, and continuously improving HSSE strategies across the project lifecycle from early construction through transition into live terminal operations.

• As a key member of the project leadership team, the HSSE Manager will act as a proactive client representative, working closely with contractors, consultants, and engineers to establish one of the safest construction sites - and ultimately one of the safest operational terminals in Bangladesh.
