Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary

The General Manager (GM) – Feed Mill Operations is responsible for the overall management of feed mill operations, ensuring efficient production, product quality, cost control. The incumbent will lead cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence and business objectives.

Reports To: Managing Director / Director / Executive Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the production of poultry, fish, cattle, and dairy feed.

  • Develop and implement annual, monthly, and daily production plans.

  • Ensure optimum utilization of plant capacity and resources.

  • Achieve production targets while minimizing wastage and downtime.

  • Ensure on-time delivery of finished products.

  • Monitor raw materials, work-in-process, and finished product quality.

  • Coordinate with Nutrition and QA teams regarding feed formulation and quality requirements.

  • Ensure customer quality expectations are consistently met.

  • Monitor inventory levels and warehouse operations.

  • Maintain accountability of raw materials, spare parts, and finished goods.

  • Coordinate logistics and distribution activities.

  • Monitor manufacturing costs and operational expenses.

  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and productivity improvements.
