Job Context:
∎ BLAST is seeking a Grants Management Specialist position for Head Office in Dhaka. Grants Management Specialist will closely work with HED, Director Programme, and other Senior Management.
∎ Under the supervisor of the Director – Programme will provide all kinds of grants development support.
∎ Job Location: BLAST Head Office, Dhaka.
∎ Contract Length: 1 year (with the possibility of extension)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Collaboration with the Grant Development Team, proactively identify, assess the feasibility of grants, and pursue public, private, and global grant opportunities that match the mission and strategic plan of the BLAST.
∎ Develop and write proposals, case statements, letters of inquiry, and other correspondence to donors, government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other entities.
∎ Support the Development Team in the completion of grant proposals.
∎ Research, compile and analyze data grant data, and identify trends and best practices in interventions.
∎ Ensure compliance with all pre- and post-grant policies and procedures.
∎ Promote the organization’s mission with donors.
∎ Participate in staff, partner, and other meetings on behalf of BLAST as required.
∎ Engage and coordinate interns and volunteers in grant-making and related reporting.
∎ Compile information from all cell heads for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and share it with the concerned project focal, head of the program, and Executive Director for review and finalize the report.
∎ Prepare reporting calendar and follow up with the concerned project focal and cell heads regularly to meet the reporting deadline.
∎ Provide quality control to the project reporting process in line with BLAST and respective donor guidelines.
∎ Editing, revising and rewriting as needed to produce high-quality, timely, results-based progress and project end reports aligned with BLAST and respective donor's standards and formats.
∎ Prepare specific report-related feedback to management throughout the report preparation process, flagging problematic issues.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 4 years of practical working experience relevant to Grants Development in NGO/INGO in a similar position.
∎ Demonstrated experience and capacity to undertake and manage for grants related tasks.
∎ Being adaptable with a positive approach & able to work under pressure.
∎ Ability to work autonomously and in teams, take initiative, and manage priorities.
∎ Ability to optimize teamwork, learning, and efficiency.
∎ Solid knowledge and understanding of Grants, policy, and systems
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Strong analytical and organizational skills, and proven reporting skills.
Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ Two festival bonuses are equivalent to two basic salaries each payable after successful completion of 6 months of probation.
